Career Values Report Now Online

What to know what you or the individuals you coach value most in work? And what jobs will help you get what you want--recognition, power, tradition, security, fun, pleasing surroundings, money? Career Compass shines a light on the elusive and hard-to-articulate nature of work motivations—and then points towards work and work environments that will “fit.” Until now, you could only access this test through a coach or consultant. For the first time, PPI offers Career Compass along with an exclusive 20-page interpretive guide that helps you take action on your report. Career Compass OnLine is only $49. It is based on the Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI), a scientifically validated values inventory, developed and published by Hogan Assessments. MVPI is validated for individuals over 21. Leadership Versatility Index
Free Webinar: Three New Findings on Leadership Versatility on December 15

When it comes to leadership competency, more is not always better. New research shows how and why the balance of these skills results in better business outcomes.

Performance Programs will offer a free leadership versatility webinar on these findings on December 15 from 1 - 2 p.m. EST. The presenters will be Rob Kaiser, one of the researchers behind the Leadership Versatility Index and co-author of "The Versatile Leader," and PPI president Paul Connolly, Ph.D. For more than ten years, researchers Rob Kaiser and Bob Kaplan studied top leaders. Their work resulted in the Leadership Versatility Index® (LVI) a 360-degree assessment tool with a radically new rating scale. Not just cosmetic, the features they developed were awarded a U.S. patent and hailed as revolutionary by MIT's Sloan Management Review. The webinar will give you three valuable insights:

1. An up-to-date leadership competency paradigm that you can put to work in your development programs.

2. Research that shows the relationship between leadership versatility and positive business outcomes.

3. Practical application of the leadership versatility model to reduce executive derailments.

There will be time at the end for questions and answers. All you need is a telephone and Internet access from your computer. You will receive instructions after registration.

For an introduction to leadership versatility, read an article by the authors Rob Kaiser and Bob Kaplan from MIT Sloan Management Review. Their work is also described in their book, The Versatile Leader (Pfieffer, 2006).

Hogan Candidate Potential Reports for Hiring

These reports offer small- to medium-size organizations a fast track to validated hiring assessments, addressing managers' concerns about the risk and cost of bad hires. The Candidate Potential Report (CPR) helps select candidates with the best job fit for jobs throughout your organization, ultimately increasing productivity and decreasing turnover. The report provides an immediate recommendation based on the assessment results that will identify each candidate as high, moderate or low fit for the job opening. Additionally, the report identifies the candidate’s strengths, areas of concern and interview style. The best part is you do not need to conduct a local validation study.
