The Compass Report

The Hogan Compass Report outlines the occupational significance of a person's core values and provides effective career planning information. The Hogan Compass Report: Motives & Values Report & Guide shine a light on the elusive and hard-to-articulate nature of work motivations, values, and preferences—and then points you towards work and work environments that will “fit.” In addition to the eight-page report, the 23-page interpretive guide, available only from PPI, helps you take action by providing additional information about your selection of a job environment. It also provides references to extensive online and printed resources.

The Hogan Compass Report is based on the Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI), a scientifically validated values assessment developed and published by Hogan Assessments.  MVPI research includes responses from more than 10,000 employed adults in a wide range of occupations, from blue collar workers to executives.
