JET (Job Evaluation Tool) Process
The JET is the foundation for establishing customized score thresholds for the Hogan assessments. We need 5 or more people familiar with the requirements of the position to tell us about the demands of the job, the context in which the job is completed, and the competencies needed. We then use this information, combined with archived Hogan research, to develop an appropriate hiring profile.
Report Options – Customized Reports
The simplest option is to use the HPI Graphic Profile with Occupational Scales. This report shows the 7 primary HPI scales as well as measures of reliability, stress tolerance, and customer service. We provide target scores and you manually match to profiles.
These remaining options require custom report programming:
- The JET also serves as the foundation for the Suitability report, a 1-page profile with a low fit, moderate fit, and high fit recommendation.
- The BASIS report is a second option. Hogan Research uses JET results to develop the hiring profile, and the Hogan IT develops a report to incorporate that profile. BASIS can be HPI only (job fit), HPI and HDS (job fit and Derailers), HPI and MVPI (job fit and culture fit), or all three (HPI, HDS, MVPI) for critical hiring situations. BASIS can also have an integrated Interview Guide, complete with questions, what to look for, and worksheets to support team review of candidates.
- The High Potential report can also be customized for situations where your High Potentials are substantially different from those in the current norm database. There is a separate Interview Guide keyed to this report that is provided to all clients using the High Potential report.
